Perfect for Kickboxing Aerobics! Wish they were made in a color other than pink.
These are weighted by sand pouches (not removable) so they are soft on your fists and ankles. The velcro closures make them easy to adjust. I have small hands, but they fit me fine. The fabric is very stretchy, making them even more comfortable.
Each glove and ankle weight is 1 lb. Perfect for kickboxing aerobics.

Quite a good set so far!!
I needed to get some replacement gloves for my Turbo Jam workouts. The gloves that they include in their "Maximum Results" package are junk. They leak and don't weigh close to 1lb each. However, I found that I really like the concept of using weighted gloves for my workouts, as they truly add the intensity I need.
I wanted to get the basic Altus weighted gloves that were available here on Amazon, but they were sold out. I tried searching for them elsewhere, but everyone seemed to have the same problem: sold out. The one place online I could find them wanted a ridiculous amount for shipping (gloves + shipping would have been about $30.00).
After some more searching, I found this set. The gloves appeared to be what I wanted, and I figured that maybe I'd find a use for the ankle weights as well. I always can find something else on Amazon that I "need" to buy in order to get free shipping. So, I was able to get the weighted gloves, ankle weights, and a movie all for less than the cost of just the gloves from another website.
When I got the set, the gloves definitely felt more substantial and better quality than the ones I had from Beachbody. I tried them out, and my workout was actually a little more challenging than usual. I didn't realize that having a true pound on each hand would make that much more of a difference (my Beachbody gloves started at about 12oz and 11oz each rather than a pound and are probably down to about 10oz and 9oz after all the sand leakage). On my next workout, I used the ankle weights. That REALLY added some work to it! Again, I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, but it really did!
I've been using the weights daily since I've gotten them, and they show no signs of leaking. They're not fraying or showing a bit of wear at all as the Beachbody gloves did by this time.
My only complaint is that the velcro doesn't cover as much space as I'd like. I would say I have average-sized hands and ankles for a girl, but both the gloves and the ankle weights seem to be designed for those that are a bit bigger. I am able to tighten them enough to get a snug fit so neither slide around, but they may be a little big for people with smaller hands and ankles.
In conclusion, I'm actually glad that I was unable to find just the weighted gloves for the "right price". The ankle weights were an unexpected benefit that have added another level to my workouts. I'm quite happy with the quality of this set so far.
