Good item/good price
The other reviews really helped to make the decision to buy this product & I was not surprised when I opened the package.
If I could change anything, It would be to make the rotation higher (more bend to the knees).

Good but fell apart after 4 months
I loved this product. Unfortunately, it is now falling apart. One of the foot rests is coming off the bolt holding it to the machine. We have tried to fix it but the part is plastic and now unfixable. I am very disappointed as this is the perfect way to get a quick workout in while watching TV. The item should not break after only 4 months of use and so I must attribute the problem to poor quality materials. 2008-10-27

Short Steps Take A Star
I just purchased this machine, and I like it for the most part. I'd give it a five if the steps weren't so short. It took a little while to adjust to that, but it can give your legs a burn if you're up for the workout. 2008-10-20

GETS THE JOB DONE
Not too bad. I use this while my 4 month old sleeps for a break and it also stops me from shopping online and eating all day. It is fun and I can usually get a good sweat while I watch one of favorite tv shows. Not as good as the gym but great for the $$$$$. Stable, quiet and I usually use my hand weights while I am on it. glad I have one! 2008-10-20

Not perfect but well worth the money
While this little piece of equipment isn't perfect it seems to work well for my intended purpose. I'm not using it to simulate running/jogging, but to simulate walking while working at a computer - in fact I'm using it as I type this review. The idea came from the research of Dr James Levine but instead of the more typical treadmill I'm currently using this mini-elliptical - it's smaller (space is an issue), quieter and less expensive.
For my purposes the two things that I wish were different are:
1) It would be nice if there were less vertical range of motion during the "stepping" process. A little less up and down would have made it easier to initially adapt to using it while typing and using the mouse.
2) I wish the flywheel were heavy enough to kick it over top dead center when using some resistance. Not being able to use much effective resistance means that my trailing foot needs to keep pressure on the "pedal" to keep the leading foot from lunging. The inability to unweight my feet is the one thing that may push me to getting a real treadmill setup when I have the space.
