This is 2 pieces
This little device is 2 separate handles that are wedged between the back and front of a closed door. They can be spaced as needed for your comfort.

There is no bar connecting the left and right handles. They are not connected in any way.

The door **must** close and should have a lock on it for safety. If the door opens with any weight on it, you'll fall.
There are pads on the grips and between your hands and the door - very nice. After a few reps, the straps connecting the front and back pieces have scrapped off a little paint at the top of my door. The other side of the door has similar scraping, but since I'm using a closet, damage doesn't matter. Wrapping all parts that contact the door may help prevent/reduce damage, but I haven't tried that.

Wearing knee pads is probably a good idea until you have lots of control, so you don't damage either your knees or the door with every rep.

Overall, this is a simple device that does what the picture shows for a small cost. It is sized for travel.

Love it!
I received it sooner than expected. I like the fact that you only have to throw it over the door. You don't have to drill anything. Great product!

Awesom
This works great. I travel a lot, and it's perfect to toss inside my luggage and do pull-ups in my hotel room.

Excellent product
I agree with the previous reviewer, in that without open space to "cheat" on your way up, AND with the added resistence of your hips/knees against the door, it is much more work doing pull-ups with this product, over a normal chin-up bar.

On top of that, you can take them down immediately, and put them up just as fast, without being forced to stick to one door way!

A great investment for any home gym.

Chin ups anywhere!!! Zero hassle!!!
No need to drill, screw or break anything to have a door chin up equipment. Heck I even use it on a 2 hinge door and it holds my weight 180 lbs. Doing a chin up on it is abit harder because you can't swing your body hence no momentum to assist you, making it more effective IMHO. I'm currently doing 8-10 full rep chin up with it!!!
