This is impossible to get started either with the string or running it on a flat surface. First off the string repeatedly slips out of the hole and even if you do manage to get it to work, it falls out almost immediately once you move this section to the opposite side. Okay, I thought, I'll try the running the ball on a flat surface approach. This time I could get the ball turning but I was unable to keep it going no matter how I held it. I asked my husband to try it and he had no more luck with it than I did. I'm sending it back. 2007-10-24

Intresting Product, Great Buy.
For the powerball there are many aspects which are good and bad. First, getting the gyroscope started takes some practice which is a slight con but after you get used to it, it becomes really easy. The gyroscope is easy to use and starting it basically involves rotating your wrist in a circular motion. Trust me, you will feel when you have properly started the powerball. Overall, this is a great product that helps with sports and even music. I would definitely recommend purchasing this wonderful product. 2007-09-23

I feel it's a good and well made product. The problem is when "working out" becomes fun you will tend to over do it. I have blisters on the insides of my fingers - so watch out for that. 2007-09-20
sat on the shelf for two years... finally figured it out!
I thought this thing looked cool from the beginning but I could never really get it going... well, today I tried it and it actually worked... the first few times I used the string but after about twenty tries I even hand started it... this thing is awesome if you give it a chance to figure it out... it's a very meditative experience when you figure it out... and it REALLY works your hand and forearm muscles (don't over do it)! 2007-09-01
