Difficult to use at first, but now I can't stop using it!
To tell you the truth, I was about ready to return it. Then I realized since I had difficulty starting it up, like a lot of people said they had, I thought to myself to use a Dremel with a soft polishing tip set at the highest setting. Well sure enough it worked like a charm! Now I use it everyday, and loving it!
If anyone has trouble starting it, don't return it, try using a Dremel.

Great workout, once you get the hang of it!
You will want to use the included string to get the gyro rolling until you get the hang of it. Once you get the idea, you will be able to start this up by hand. Don't get frustrated when you first get started! 2007-12-17
A piece of junk
This sounded like a good idea, but the implementation completely negates any actual usefulness. It was designed and built by those who have no real knowledge of gyroscopes and how to built one. As constructed, the only exercise will be trying to get it function well enough to out perform a one pound dumbbell which is one tenth the cost. I purchased a child's toy gyroscope several years ago that still generates much higher gyroscopic forces with far greater ease of operation that this thing.
I gave it one star because that is the minimum allowed.

Piece of Junk
Doesn't work. The gyro starts turning then stops after 2 seconds. The directions are useless. 2007-12-04
Really Cool Product!
At first when I got this gyroscope, I couldn't get it to work. I got it to activate but couldn't get the right hand movement. I got really frustrated. Eventually, I got it and boy was I glad! You don't even have to swing it violently for it to really get going. I use it as a toy but it will probably help me in baseball as I am a pitcher. As long as you have a little patience, you will love this product! 2007-11-12
