Gazelle Edge

After reading the reviews here I decided I would give this little machine a try. I have no idea what people are saying when they say this does nothing as far as a good workout. The first time I did it I stayed on for 25 minutes and yes I did sweat and yes I was extremely sore the next day. I have been doing it everyday now for a week and I have already lost 5lbs! Maybe those of you who felt they were not getting a good enough work out were either not doing it properly or maybe your use to very high impact aerobics. For those of you that are looking for a workout that is low impact but will help you lose weight look no further then this machine. I am very satisfied and very happy with my purchase.

I feel ok about my purchase - at least it wasn't overly expensive. I am an overweight person - looking to lose about 50 lbs. I started using the Edge everyday for at least 30-45 minutes. My biggest issues with the machine are that my feet go numb after about 20 minutes. Also, even with pushing myself to go at a good clip - I'm not really getting enough of a cardio workout to burn the fat I need. I have a feeling once I lose more weight, it will be good in maintaining....

I bought this after researching the internet for a beginner's fitness machine. I also wanted a low impact workout as I have a damaged knee which doesn't allow me to jog or run under any stress. The Gazelle Edge does the job perfectly for those of us 40+ who haven't exercised for several years and need to get back into shape. Search for a bargain on the internet - I got mine for $70 including shipping. It was promptly delivered and was easy to assemble. In total there are 7 bolts that have to be undone (one on the "computer") plus a couple of philips screws on the arm covers. You will need a screwdriver for the latter, although they are only a cosmetic fitting. The various shafts put together and the bolts re-fitted. All very easy and logical. In all it took about 25 minutes and the kit comes with 2 flat wrenches to achieve this.
Others have written in great detail about the features of the machine, which I will not repeat. All I will say is that it does what it's supposed to as far as I am concerned, and the price is excellent for this well made equipment. A 20 minute workout on this once of twice a day is easy to do and feels good too!

I bought this item for my husband. It doesn't do much for him.
He is into Bodybuilding, but I enjoy it immense.
I have 4 children neatless to say no time or room to work out. The gazelle is by our livingroom and I'm able to use it at least for 15 min. a day. Just enough to get me moving without stressing me out.
Excellent for a beginner. it is easy to use.

I had seen the gazelle on TV and always wanted to try it. When I got mine I was disappointed. I don't feel like I'm getting much of a workout and my feet slide all over the platforms, (even with my brand new sneakers), so I have to keep stopping and moving them back into a comfortable position. Also, it's a little difficult to get into a steady rythm. Overall, I just don't think it's worth the money.
