My 5th Omron HJ-105 - still my favorite
Three years ago I incorporated walking into my health plan, primarily to stabilize my diabetes, but also to keep off the unwanted pounds. I picked up a pedometer at Wal-mart, then about $9. I was elated to find that, with the adjustability built in, I was able to get exact number of steps time after time. That product was the Omron HJ-105. I wear a pedometer always, trying to keep my daily step total over 10,000. I have worn out two pedometers, and lost two, so I'm now on my fifth, and still happy enough with the product that I've purchased several for family and friends. I'm not on an athlete's level where I need anything fancy, this is just perfect, and always works! 2007-05-10

Loved it until the battery died
This pedometer was great - easy to use, easy to wear and fairly accurate (good for walking, but poor for any type of jogging/running since you can only use one stride setting). However, the battery died after three months. I'm considering buying a few replacements for the rest of the year, but by the time I spend the money, I could probably buy a nicer version that will last longer. I would definitely recommend for someone looking to try out a pedometer for the first time - it's cheap, low-key and makes you want to start walking more. Just know that you'll have to replace it pretty quickly. 2007-05-09

Omron HJ-105 Pedometer
It was very difficult to write a review for this product. On one hand, it performs well and is well worth its price. On the other hand, it has a cheap feel to it and it is a bit clumsy (inconvenient) to use. Bottom line: I wish I had paid the few extra dollars for the Omron HJ-112, which probably would have met my expectations better. 2007-05-03

Dead as a door nail
We bought 75 pedometers for a wellness program for our organization. Within two weeks, they started "dying". An email to the customer service department at the company produced 10 new batteries to replace dead ones. But as the plague of "deaths" continued, we sent numerous emails for more batteries. If you choose to purchase this pedometer, be prepared to replace the battery in a matter of weeks...and don't count on much of a response from Customer Service. After an hour and half on the phone, there was still no resolution to our problem. 2007-05-01

Great Product!
This is my first pedometer and I love it! It's accurate, lightweight and easy to program. My only problem is I can't figure out how to turn it off. I'm concerned that the pedometer won't operate properly when the battery gets too low--any ideas as to how long the battery lasts? 2007-04-20
