Best piece of home gym gear for a small space next to dumbbells
I purchased this product based on the reviews I looked at, particularly Frankie B.'s contribution. Once I had it out of the box and took the plastic sleeves off each piece, it took me literally two minutes to assemble and that was taking it easy. There was a one page instruction leaflet, but all you needed to read was "color-coded".

I'm 6'2" and weigh 195lbs. There was no wobbling or even minor shaking for me doing the several sets of dips I performed on the stand. And the clearance was more than sufficient; I didn't have to angle my body to avoid hitting my knees on the floor.

It may not be apparent from the images, but the handles do have a tapering angle from front to back. This allows you to isolate the triceps or the chest more, depending how which "end" you have facing forward and if your elbows are close to your body or facing outward.

Disassembling the stand took less time than it did to put it together from scratch. There's an additional hole in the handle sections that allows you to reorient the other connected pieces for flat storage. Or you could simply fully take it apart and stow them away wherever there's room. I had no trouble with the pins or with tension with any of the pieces.

All in all, I'm very satisfied with my purchase since dips tend to be one of my favorite exercises. And this stand allows for other exercises as demonstrated by the images and a customer video review. Well worth the money.

Lives up to expectations
This device does what it says it will do. Its easy to put together due to the color coding and its very stable. I like that its light, so I can move it from upstairs or downstairs very easily. Delivery was fast and efficient (two days after ordering) and the company was very pleasant on the phone.

The only criticisms I have is that the handout that comes with the machine is of low quality. The drawing of the constructed machine is a top view, which is sort of confusing. Also, it doesn't give clear instructions on how to adjust its width or on how to take it apart for storage. It seems to me for storing its in two separate pieces that lay on one another...which could lead to a lot of scratching of the product. I've only had this for one day...and I'm sure I'll figure out how to store it, but clearer instructions would be nice.

These are really very minor criticisms. If you like to do dips, this is a great machine for you. You get exactly what is advertised...an easily constructed, lightweight, device that is stable and well crafted.

nice addition
I've been looking for a dip stand for a wile now. the only thing i've been seeing are total workout gyms selling for at least $200. then i saw this. i bought it and i love it; it's small, out of the way, and you can break it down for storage. i don't know what people are talking about saying it's hard to assemble; it literally snaps together in 5 min. AND the dip stand is color coded!! so unless you're color blind you may have trouble putting this together. definitely worth looking into.

Better than the Perfect Push-up & Iron Gym Combined!
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2AQCJOXGX6FHS Become surprisingly stronger by doing just two exercises with the Ultimate Body Press Dip Stand.

Dips are superior to push-ups because they use your entire bodyweight for resistance. Bodyweight Rows like pull-ups are a fantastic exercise for your back and shoulders. Used together you get a balanced, challenging and effective workout from one machine.

You will hit the ball harder, be stronger on the court, and if you care about this sort of thing, you are going to have a bigger chest and bigger arms so you'll look better with your shirt off.
